Our Commitments : A Pledge to Reduce emissions

Our Commitments :

A Pledge to Reduce Emissions: Within our community of devoted members committed to slashing emissions, we have taken on the challenge to reduce a substantial 15 MW across various sectors.

Here's a breakdown of our specific commitments:

    •  Energy Efficiency: 15 MW

    • Embracing any form of energy efficiency, provided the saved energy amount or the percentage increase in efficiency is known. If these metrics are unknown, users have the flexibility to choose from various energy efficiency technologies, such as building or appliance energy efficiency.

    • Renewable Electricity: 15 MW

    • Harnessing any renewable energy source, provided the amount of energy generated is known. If this metric is unavailable, users can opt for specific renewable technologies like solar photovoltaic or wind power.

    • Fuel Switching : 15 MW

    • Executing any fuel switching initiative, transitioning from traditional fuels to cleaner alternatives. The commitment hinges on knowing the energy quantity or fuel quantity, as well as the types of fuels involved.

    • Solar Photovoltaic System : 15 MW.
    • Applicable to any solar photovoltaic (PV) system, encompassing various technologies like amorphous silicon, crystalline silicon, thick-film silicon PV cells, or thin-film silicon PV cells. The commitment doesn't differentiate between PV cell types and is inclusive of all solar PV technologies.

    • Building Energy Efficiency: Residential: 15 MW

    • Implementing residential upgrades, including lighting enhancements (LED or CFL), water heating upgrades, and HVAC system efficiency improvements. These measures are aimed at boosting energy efficiency in residential spaces.

    • Building Energy efficiency : Commercial: 15MW

    • Initiating commercial upgrades involving lighting improvements (LED, high bay, and high-performance T8 bulbs), HVAC improvements, and refrigeration upgrades. These enhancements cover a range of measures, from energy-efficient lighting to HVAC system improvements.

    • Solar Heating : 15 MW

    • Employing solar thermal systems for water heating or space heating. This commitment spans diverse solar thermal technologies, including unglazed flat plate collector systems, glazed domestic hot water systems, and evacuated tube collectors.

    • Anaerobic Digesters: 15 MW

    • Engaging in projects that produce usable biogas through the installation of anaerobic digesters, particularly in the context of manure management. This commitment encompasses various types of digesters, including stand-alone, on-farm, and those integrated into
    • wastewater treatment plants.

Rain Water Offset Units (ROU): 15 MW

The Universal Rainwater Offset standards that aims to drive water harvesting, recharge and conservation efforts, which is defined as the actions taken for capturing/recycling/reusing  unutilized sources of water that is socially and culturally equitable, environmentally sustainable and economically beneficial, achieved through site and catchment based actions independent of water quality parameters.

Plastic Waste Reduction Program:  15 MW

Projects collecting and /or recycling any plastic ( or composite material) may be eligible to issue plastic credits for their activities which can be sold to finance  the project. A project may be single instance of an activity operating at a specific location or multiple instance of an activity operating in a specific region.

The Sustainable Development Verified Impact Standard (SD VISTa): 15 MW

The premier standard for certifying the sustainable development benefits of social and environmental projects. The types of benefits that may be certified range from gender equity to economic development, affordable clean energy to wild life restoration. SD Vista uses expert, their party auditors to verify that a project advances the global sustainable Development Goals set forth by the United Nations.
